Alan Forbes
Born in Connecticut in 1968, Alan Forbes is a poster artist and painter currently living in San Francisco, California. Forbes has been creating iconic silkscreened print work and album covers since the 90's. He is widely known for his bold ink illustrations, punched up with bright psychedelic colors, and surrounded with his unique style of hand lettering.
Alan has created silkscreened prints for The Grateful Dead, Sonic Youth, Mastodon, Rage Against The Machine, The Misfits, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Pavement, Queens of the Stone Age, Roky Erickson, Osees, Bad Religion, Melvins, and Faith No More among many others. He has illustrated iconic album artwork for AFI, Ghost, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and Goldfinger. He also created the iconic logo for The Black Crowes.
