About the imagery: ‘From the time we come crawling out of our maternal incubators, the raw and true inner self is smothered. We are molded, prodded, branded, and manipulated. The process can result in an outer shell of spirit that doesn’t resemble the raw pneuma at all. In some cases, it can take a long time to extricate yourself from yourself. A very long time. This imagery was used on a piece commissioned by the band Nine Inch Nails. I have wanted to present ‘Pneuma’ in a rich serigraph format for some time, and I’m glad to see it finally realized.
